Learn online

Obtain CPD credits and learn anytime, anywhere with PSA’s online CPD programs. PSA members have FREE access to a comprehensive library of accredited learning materials,  designed for the busy pharmacist to access when and where is convenient.

Most CPD materials have assessment components, allowing members to earn Group 2 CPD credits that are automatically added to individual member’s PSA CPD records. Available learning materials can be accessed via the links below. New material is available to our members each month.

E-lectures and podcasts

Regular e-lectures and podcasts are developed with experts in the specific clinical area to ensure the latest evidence is brought to you. Recent topics include epilepsy, weight management, and atrial fibrillation in stroke prevention.

Complementary medicines series

This e-lecture and podcast series focuses on complementary medicines, providing pharmacists with an overarching introduction to the quality use of complementary medicines, together with shorter presentations on specific herbal medicines – the evidence for use, cautions and contraindications, interactions, and questions in practice. Recent complementary medicines covered are probiotics, lysine and CoQ10.

Essential CPE

Online versions of the popular printed Essential CPE distance learning  modules, and their assessments are available to all members through the PSA Website. Accredited for a minimum of 6 Group 2 CPD credits, these modules provide our members with a convenient way to met Pharmacy Board CPD requirements. Recent topics include GORD, Dementia and Heart Failure.

Targeted Interventions

The Targeted Interventions series  focuses on short, specific, clinical interventions that pharmacists should be undertaking and the rationale behind each one. This series is available online to all PSA members. Recent topics include iron deficiency, shingles, and benzodiazepine use in older people.

5th Community Pharmacy Agreement online learning modules

Under the 5th Community Pharmacy Agreement, PSA has developed accredited courses covering various areas of professional practice. There are currently modules for Staged Supply and Clinical Interventions.

Other online CPD

PSA also supports the continuing education of pharmacy assistants through  InPHARMation, and monthly articles in PostScript.
