As one of the National Intern Training Program’s (NITP) course components, your intern must successfully complete two Practical Preceptor Assessments (Dispensing and the Boards Extemporaneous Dispensing Assessments).
These practical based assessments have recently been re-developed, to ensure that our NITP program remains committed to high standards and with your help, to provide a smooth orientation into a successful career in Pharmacy for your intern.
The purpose of these assessments is so that you, the intern’s mentor and supervisor can determine whether or not he or she is competent to work unsupervised in the pharmacy. You need to be satisfied that customers will not come to any harm as a result of the actions, advice or decisions of your intern.
The Board Extemporaneous Dispensing Assessment has been available to your intern upon enrolment and the Dispensing Assessment is now available to complete and is due by 30 March 2012.
An answer guide and associated resources for the Dispensing Assessment has been attached for you to download when assessing your intern.
If a hardcopy of the assessment is required, please email email@example.com please ensure that you provide your full name, mailing address and intern’s name.
