Policies, Guidelines and Professional standards
Setting policies, guidelines and professional standards for the profession is a key focus for PSA. Policy, legislation, competency, drug approvals, and MMRs are the basis for PSA's key contribution to the professional development of members. As a member you will receive key resources as they are developed and updated. Members have access to a members only section of the PSA website which contains a range of material covering professional standards and guidelines for pharmacists.
Representation of all pharmacists by a professional body
Often the opinions of an individual are not enough. PSA operates at both a State and National level and represents all pharmacists in Australia. With an established Branch network and a National office in Canberra, PSA speaks for over 16,000 pharmacists. PSA represents pharmacist in the global community through participation in International Conferences such as the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Conference and through collaborative activities with pharmacy organisations in Europe and Asia.
Continuing Professional Development and Practice Improvement
PSA is able to provide quality education resources for pharmacists on a range of topics and via a range of mediums including Essential CPE booklets, an annual Gold Questionnaire, the education download pages and the power point presentations from conferences found on the members only section on of the PSA website. Reading and responding to the articles and questions in the Australian Pharmacist magazine is another CPD & PI activity provided by through PSA membership.

Australian Pharmacist 12 month subscription
Information on current issues for pharmacy is delivered monthly via the Australian Pharmacist journal. Australian Pharmacist is recognised as Australia’s leading professional journal for pharmacists. For International members this represents a saving of $240 a year. In Australia the journal is only available to financial members of PSA.
PSA facilitates a number of conferences and smaller courses provided by branch offices, including Pharmacy Australia Congress (PAC). Material from these events is generally available on the PSA website at http://psa.advsol.com.au/scriptcontent/Custom/MC_ShowPage.cfm?page=2444
