Opportunities with inPHARMation

inPHARMation is not only a publication that provides high quality learning and professional development opportunities, it is a publication for implementing comprehensive health promotion activities that attract customers to the pharmacy and encourages the local community to visit the pharmacy and learn more about their health and their medicines. Pharmacies can use inPHARMation to:

Create a national health day/week display in your pharmacy. Use the National Health Calendar in each inPHARMation to create a pharmacy display with Self Care Fact Cards and other resources, such as posters and brochures. Contact peak organisations such as Asthma Australia, Diabetes Australia, the Heart Foundation and Arthritis Australia for additional health promotion resources and information .

Photocopy the John Bell Health Column. John Bell's article can be distributed to customers, or copy  the article into your pharmacy newsletter. A copy of the article can also be sent to your local community newspaper.

Websites worth a look. Websites listed in inPHARMation's noticeboard can be useful to all pharmacy staff. Use the "websites worth a look" box for future reference.

Encourage staff members to write to Pharmacy Self Care and let us know interesting stories about your pharmacy and how your pharmacy is using the program and its resources. An e-mail or letter can also be sent expressing concerns about the program. You never know, you might see your picture in inPHARMation!
