Pharmacists issuing certificates for absence from work
The Fair Work Act 2009 allows for pharmacists to issue certificates to people covered by the Act as proof of legitimate absence from work, except for those relating to pregnancy or compassionate leave.
PSA and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia have jointly issued guidelines for pharmacists, which should be read in their entirety. Neither organisation takes responsibility for the use or adaptation by pharmacists of the sample templates in the guidelines.
