Andrew Sluggett

Andrew is a longstanding member of PSA (SA/NT) Branch Committee, volunteering for more than 10 years but also contributing as Co-vice president since 2014.

 

Andrew is Chief Pharmacist and General Manager of CPIE Pharmacy Services, an innovative pharmacy organisation comprising a community pharmacy, private hospital pharmacy and an aseptic compounding facility. In recognition of Andrew’s contribution and commitment to advancing the practice of pharmacy, he received the PSA (SA/NT) Pharmacist of the Year Award in 2014.

 

Andrew completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Pharmacology in 2001, followed by a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2004. He completed his intern year at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and was then a clinical/manufacturing pharmacist at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

 

Andrew joined CPIE Pharmacy Services in 2007. He leads this diverse and innovative pharmacy organisation to deliver a range of pharmacy services supporting transition of patients from hospital back to the community.

 

He contributes to several private hospital governance committees, manufacturing and compounding working groups. Andrew is an Adjunct Lecturer with the UniSA Pharmacy School and Flinders University, providing internship and placement opportunities for undergraduate pharmacy students.

 

His Board responsibilities include committee member of Membership, Products and Services.
