Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, pharmacists should be able to:- Identify the changes to scheduling of non-prescription codeine containing medicines which come into effect from 1 February 2018
- Outline the safety concerns identified with codeine containing medicines
- Identify the impact of these scheduling changes on patients, pharmacists, pharmacy staff and other health professionals
- Identify the importance of planning a response to minimise the disruption of these changes to scheduling.
