Develop skills and knowledge required to initiate and implement advanced learning practice that supports the improvement of learning strategies in an organisational context to enhance learner outcomes.
- Initiate and lead applied research
Develop skills for constructing an applied research strategy, using a range of applied research techniques, and analysing and presenting findings. The context of applied research in this unit is with regards to attaining improved organisational outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategic plans
Develop skills and knowledge to analyse and interpret relevant markets; assess the capability of the organisation, and its existing and potential competitors and allies.
- Deliver primary health care
Develop skills and knowledge to enable you to provide health education for individuals and the whole community, including the methods for preventing and controlling these problems. Improve your skills in applying clinical and health care theory.
- Provide leadership in pharmacy practice
Develop the knowledge and skills to provide leadership in pharmacy practice or the profession including community, hospital, residential care facility and general practice settings. Develop the knowledge and skills to generate, lead and sustain innovative organisational thinking and practice. Two units are co-assessed in this short course.
- Build and sustain an innovative work environment
Develop and implement a holistic approach to the integration of innovation across the pharmacy. Implement strategies to encourage innovative thinking in staff and allow them to develop innovative approaches to job tasks.
- Manage an information or knowledge management system
Manage business information and the retention of corporate knowledge. Focus on the skills and knowledge required to organise training in the use of, and effective management of systems.
- Manage people performance
Learn how to encourage high performance through the use of performance indicators and regular feedback. Coach for excellence.
- Medicines and driving: an important counselling role for pharmacists
