Readership survey
and the winner is .........
HA Goode of Mackay, Queensland.
Congratulations! A copy of the History of the Victorian College
of Pharmacy will now grace your library shelves.
The Survey was returned by about 7% of our readership, which is quite good for a Pharmacy audience. Most readers are happy with the Journal and feel it is playing an important role in keeping pharmacy history before the profession. And, a majority enjoyed the Australian stories and Australian pharmacy pictures.
Bob Brennan, the Registrar of The Pharmaceutical Society of WA drawing the prize winner. June 21/07
How successful we are with increasing the Australian content depends on the level of support from you the members. We all have pharmacy stories of our experiences in practice and its not too hard to share them through the Journal.
Probably the major thing to emerge from the survey was the concern that we do not have as much knowledge of pharmacy practices by our near neighbours in the Asia Pacific region as we do of our Anglo-Saxon or Anglo-Celtic roots A problem we will address in the future.
We will also be looking at using the Internet to distribute the Academy publications in the future as a cost control measure. This is already being trialled with students at the University of Western Australia and at Griffith University in Queensland.
Thank you to all those who participated in this exercise, and to show that the game was played fairly and squarely, we have added a photo of the Registrar of the Pharmaceutical Society of Western Australia, Bob Brennan selecting the winner.
