Finally... just roses, no brickbats!
The Pharmaceutical Society of Western Australia recognises pharmacists who have rendered outstanding service to the Society with the establishment of its Major Service Award.
At the annual prize night held in March this year, nine pharmacists
were presented with this prestigious award.
Among the recipients was the Australian Academy of the
History of Pharmacy secretary and treasurer Geoff Miller. His citation for the award read: ‘Geoff Miller has been the convenor of the
Chapter of Pharmacy History in Western Australia for more than
20 years and has spent an enormous amount of his own time acquiring, managing and maintaining the collection on the Society’s behalf. ‘

Even though the Pharmacy History Australia journal is on the back burner, the Academy is still very much involved in promoting the study and research of how the profession has developed and changed, especially for newly registered pharmacists who have inherited a very proud mantle of trust from the communities we serve.
