Hugh and Mary Darragh Postgraduate Scholarship
The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Hugh and Mary Darragh Postgraduate Scholarship.
The Hugh and Mary Darragh Postgraduate Scholarship is a national initiative supporting pharmacists who are advancing their clinical expertise through postgraduate study targeted to improve disease-state management.
The Scholarship will provide the successful applicant with up to $10,000 to support their further studies in a clinical capacity, enabling them to drive measurable improvements in patient care and disease state management through subsequent evidence-based, collaborative practice.
Eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Hold a pharmacy degree from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Be undertaking postgraduate study in pharmacy or medicine (e.g. prescribing, clinical specialisation).
- Identify a specific disease state focus area, such as palliative care, cardiovascular health, sleep apnoea, respiratory, or other diseases.
- Demonstrate how their study contributes to improved medicines safety, clinical outcomes, or system-level innovation to promote improvement in disease state management.
Pharmacists who wish to apply will need to submit a 500-word expression of interest, addressing the following criteria:
- Confirmation of your eligibility and current or intended postgraduate enrolment
- Details of your course or study area, including estimated cost
- Description of the disease-state or clinical focus
- Explanation of how your study aligns with the purpose of the Hugh and Mary Darragh bequest and the PSA Foundation’s vision and mission to advance health outcomes.
Applications close on 31 January 2026.
