Promoting your PSA membership

As a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA), you have exclusive access to valuable tools that can enhance your professional profile and showcase your commitment to excellence in pharmacy.

This page guides you through two powerful ways to promote your PSA membership: using post nominals and displaying a digital badge on your LinkedIn profile. These simple yet effective methods can help you stand out in your field, demonstrate your professional affiliations, and potentially open new opportunities.

Post nominals

Post nominals are letters added after a person’s name to indicate qualifications, honors, or professional memberships. Using post nominals can quickly convey your professional achievements and affiliations to others, enhancing your credibility in your field. They can be used in a variety of settings including:

  • Business cards
  • Email signatures
  • LinkedIn profiles
  • Speaker bios
  • And more.

All current members of PSA are entitled to use the MPS (Member of the Pharmaceutical Society) post nominal. For example:

Jane Smith MPS

Fellows of the PSA are acknowledged with use of the FPS (Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society) post nominal.

Jane Smith FPS

PSA members who have achieved their Medication Management Review (MMR) and Aged Care Onsite Pharmacist (ACOP) credentials through PSA training programs are able to use post nominals specific to their credentials. For example, a member pharmacist who is credentialed by PSA in MMR would have the title Jane Smith MPS CredPharm (MMR). Alternatively, a Fellow of the PSA credentialed in ACOP would have the title John Citizen FPS CredPharm (ACOP).

Digital badge

A digital badge is a way to promote your PSA membership on LinkedIn. Current members of PSA are entitled to add this badge to their profile.
