This module is designed to enhance communication between health professionals and people who use drugs by exploring the issues that arise within the healthcare relationship. It seeks to increase practitioner confidence in working with this population group by supporting health practitioners to identify issues that impact on the health care relationship and identify practices that can help improve health outcomes for people who use drugs. The module features podcasts, conversations between pharmacists, GPs, emergency room physicians, GP receptionists and people who use drugs and follows a client’s journey in renewing a prescription.

PSA proudly hosts this education on behalf of Australian Injecting & Illicit Drug Users League (AIVL) as part of our commitment to meet pharmacists’ educational needs.
